OUR WHITE BRALETTE BEHIND THE DESIGN While we loved the idea of a staple white bralette, we struggled to love any of the existing options on the market. Every bralette bikini that we managed to try was either uncomfortable, unflattering or both. The only comfortable bralette bikinis available did not shape our boobs and seemed to flatten them rather than give them a fuller and elevated look. While comfort was a huge factor for us, our mission was to find the supportive benefits of underwire and padding without compromising comfort. We found this was a big issue for bralette bikinis because traditionally, pattern makers use darting, underwire or padding to structure the bikini. Therefore, this has created the misconception that bralette bikini tops will not be supportive if they do not contain these features. After conducting all of our research, we decided we wanted to craft the perfect white bralette top that provides support and comfort through its construction. In terms of colour, we knew we wanted something that was in synergy with our brand. Through creating a classic white, it further highlights our obsession with clean, crisp and simplistic bikinis. We found that to maximise further comfort and bikini style, our bralette bikini top had to be seamless and fitted to give a ‘fuller’ and ‘perkier’ look. Adjustable: We ensured that the straps on our white bralette top were adjustable because we know that swimwear expands after a few wears in the water. Supportive: While designing the bralette bikini tops structure, we considered the size of the band around each bralette. This band is thick enough to ensure it still acts as an anchor to hold everything together.
